Ford BA BF Falcon ignition switch repair and mobile service

Do you own a Ford Falcon BA / BF series or a Ford Territory SX – SY series manufactured from 2002 – May 2008 and suspect you have a problem with your ignition switch?

Unfortunately there is no single answer as they can fail in various ways with different symptoms presenting over time.

How to identify some of the symptoms for a faulty or failing ignition switch:

  • Has your ignition fallen apart and pieces such as ball bearings or a round copper plate are on the ground?
  • Can’t start your car and feel no resistance when turning the key and no lights on the dash?
  • Can’t turn off your vehicle?
  • Does the key constantly spring back from start to accessories or turns off and you have to hold the key in the on position to allow the car to continue to run?
  • Does the key randomly spring back turning the car off?
  • Does the key not spring back at all after starting causing none of your electrical accessories to work ie. power windows, radio, air-conditioning?
  • Does the car intermittently start?
  • Do you have to wriggle or jiggle the key around to get the car to start?

Have you been told that the only way to fix this is by replacing the steering column with a second hand one at a huge expense in excess of $1,000?

Potentially being without your car for up to several days at a time after towing it to a work shop is not only very costly but it doesn’t fix the problem properly?

This is no longer true and you can now have your existing steering column repaired with a new replacement upgraded ignition switch housing without changing the steering column or keys. We are a mobile service and can fix your ignition switch on the spot while you wait.

We use an custom made CNC billet aluminium upgraded ignition switch housing to rebuild the factory one which is manufactured right here in Australia.

But that’s not all our parts are covered by a lifetime guarantee giving you piece of mind and these parts have been over engineered so it won’t fail again. We know this because engineers have thoroughly tested the product for hundreds of thousands of key turns and it doesn’t show any wear that causes the failures in the factory cast housing.

All work is carried out onsite whether you are at home, work, the shopping center or just stuck on the side of the road.

We don’t remove your steering column, drill holes in your dash, use any second hand parts to fix the problem. We don’t put the existing ignition switch back together if it fell apart and you don’t need a new key or remote programmed.
